Senior Front End Engineer @Deltia (Remote within Europe)

Your role
As part of our growing team, we are looking for a Senior Front End Engineer who wants to work at a high-growth startup. As a front end engineer, your role will include:
  • Developing our web application by implementing new features and fixing bugs
  • Reducing technical debt and ensuring flexible and maintainable architecture
  • Conducting code reviews
  • Writing unit and e2e tests and introducing other code quality measures
  • Opportunity to participate in pair-programming sessions
  • Opportunity to influence all elements of our tech-stack, including backend APIs and infrastructure development
  • Opportunity to influence design of new product features
  • Contributing to product discovery and design meetings
Your profile
Essentials:
  • 5+ years experience as a frontend engineer building web applications
  • 3+ years of experience with React.js
  • In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript, CSS, and HTML
  • Knowledge of sound engineering practices, including agile methodology, code review, version control, clean and maintainable code, and CI/CD
  • Experience working with backend services like REST or GraphQL
  • Experience building frontend SaaS products, especially ones which focused on data visualisation
  • Experience working within cross-functional teams, with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, collaborating with product & design to challenge solutions and find the best ones
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject. Equivalent work experience will also be considered
  • Fluency in English (German not required)

Nice-to-have:
  • Background on backend API frameworks and using them to power frontend features (e.g. Django, FastAPI, Fastify)
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS, React Query, D3
  • Experience with web design and UI/UX design principles
  • An interest in AI, computer vision and deep learning
